| Bryan Austring is
the pastor of Helvetia Community Church. Before coming to Helvetia Bryan served in the Navy as a battalion chaplain for a Marine infantry battalion out of Camp Lejeune, NC. He completed his tour of duty in September of 2001 and assumed the pastorate at Helvetia on September 16, 2001. He continues his chaplaincy ministry as a local fire chaplain, and for his first five years here, continued as a naval reserve chaplain. |

| Before entering the
Navy Bryan attended Cedarville University, Cedarville,
OH, and earned a BA from Sonoma State University, Rohnert
Park, California. He then went on to graduate with honors from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, TX with a Master of Theology in Pastoral Leadership. He was ordained on November 24, 1996 at Redwood Valley Community Church, Redwood Valley, CA. Bryan served as the Associate Pastor at RVCC from 1994-1998. Bryan is happily married to Carin, and they recently celebrated their twenty-first wedding anniversary. Carin is an active homemaker, home school Mom, and the Childrens Ministry Director at HCC. Their three children, Richard, Joshua, and Gracie, are active in school, church, Scouting, and 4-H. Richard recently began a new phase of life as a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point. |
